Physical Environment
Remove jewellery to avoid injury to yourself or others.
Keep fingernails and toenails short and clean.
Bare feet – keep feet clean and in good condition. At times socks may be applicable, but always ask permission before entering the dojan with any form of footwear on. If you think you may be putting other students or instructors at risk due to having bare feet (eg. corns, athletes’ foot, verrucas), always be cautious. Respect your club.
Keep dobok clean and in good condition. Folding it and storing it well are all a part of showing respect to your sport, your club and yourself.
Outside of dojang take your belt off. Make sure it’s folded nicely and try to keep it from hitting the floor.
Only wear your dobok to and from training, in the Dojan and at Taekwondo related events. Respect your uniform.
